Time Burn

Ah yes, my coffee shop starts blogging, and I all but stop. It’s been that kind of week. Heck, it’s been that kind of Interim. Working in IT at a college, January turns into a mad, frantic rush to get everything done between when the students leave campus in December, and when they return at the end of January.

This semester is all the more stressful because of two pilot projects starting up in the spring: one for Moodle, an open source course management system, and the other for iTunes U, Apple’s education-oriented take on its iTunes Music Store. There’s a lot to do, and not much time to do it. So instead of writing or blogging, I’ve been working.

But it’s not all work. I’ve also managed to get in a few gaming sessions on Xbox Live playing the co-opt campaign of Gears of War with my friend Dave (aka AlienGrey). We’ve battled through the “hardcore” setting, racking up achievements and reliving our high school arcade days. I’ve also slowly re-watching the Lord of the Rings movings, an hour here, and hour there. It’s an annual Christmas break tradition that didn’t actually happen during Christmas break this year, so I’m trying to play catch up.

And Nuketown? Posting will return to normal this week. A new Radio Active will also be up this week assuming my daughter lets me record one today.
