Another time travel-centered ornament, the Enterprise-C appeared in the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode “Yesterday’s Enterprise”. During the episode, the timeline changes because the Enterprise-C passes through a rift in space/time. As it does so, it lands in a future in which the United Federation of Planets is at war with the Klingon Empire and the Enterprise-D is a warship.
It turns out that the Enterprise-C was meant to fight at the Battle of Narendra, where they were supposed to die honorably helping the Klingons defend their base from attack by the Romulans.
Released in 2015, today’s Ornament-a-Day entry follows the familiar Federation design of a saucer section and two warp nacelles. A battery-powered ornament, the warp nacelles glow the familiar red when you press the power button, while the deflector array glows blue. The lights on the ship are bright and clear, which makes it a shame that it isn’t string powered. Still, it’s an ornament I’d long wanted on the Geek Tree as the penultimate step in completing my collection of television and cinematic Enterprises
One step closer … but still not there yet. The only Enterprise I’m missing is the only one they haven’t released: Enterprise 1701-B, the Excelsior-class starship from the Star Trek: Generations feature film. Ok, technically, I don’t have the original Enterprise NCC-1701 ornament from 1991 either, though at this point I have several reprints and variants. But in terms of “ships named Enterprise,” the Enterprise-B is the last big hole in my collection.
