Radio Active #12: Good News Everybody! KOTOR II, From a Buick 8, SciFi Podcasters
Good news abounds in Radio Active #12, which includes an announcement about a change in my day job that will let me walk to work. Really. It's also got an announcement about the Atomic Swindlers contest winners and the happy news that Radio Active has joined the ranks of The Science Fiction Podcast Network. It's not all chat though -- there's also a short review of the Xbox version of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II as well as a review of Stephen King's very un-King-like horror novel From a Buick 8.
Radio Active #11: The Clock Strikes The 13th Hour
Radio Active #11 is dedicated entirely to an audio review of Midnight Syndicate's The 13th Hour CD, an album designed to be used as a soundtrack for Call of Cthulhu role-playing games, but which should work well in any horror game.
Radio Active #10: Parenting and the Late Game, The Tomb, A Maze of Minotaurs
Radio Active takes a turn into the supernatural with #10, offering a review of the F. Paul Wilson's supernatural detective novel The Tomb as well as a review of the D&D-compatible monster source book A Maze of Minotaurs by Behemoth4. I also talk about staying up late (or rather, getting up early) with a moody two-year-old and playing World of Warcraft at 3 a.m.

Radio Active #9: Ender's Shadow, Libris Mortis, Toddlers & Star Wars
I make good on my book review promise, and take a look at Orson Scott Card's Ender's Shadow. There's also some thoughts on toddlers and Star Wars, news about the extension of the Atomic Swindlers CD giveaway, and a plug for the new scifi magazine podcast, Escape Pod.

Radio Active #8: Atomic Swindlers Music Review & Contest
Radio Active #8 is dedicated entirely to the music of the Atomic Swindlers, a Ziggy Stardust-meets-The Fifth Element rock'n'roll band. The podcast features a review of the band's album Coming Out Electric as well as two tracks from the CD.
Radio Active #7: The Cold Lingers, Game FAQs, Gardens of the Moon
It's been too long between podcasts -- thanks to a nasty cold that hit back at the beginning of May -- but with Radio Active #7, we're back on track. The podcast opens up with some updates about the show itself, and my plans for the future. I then go into a bit of a rant on game FAQs ... or rather, the lack there of. And then finally, I've got a review of Steven Erikson's Garden of the Moon, a dark fantasy novel with a militaristic edge.
Radio Active #6: Dads, Baseball and Sci-Fi, Paul of Cthulhu, The Amityville Horror
Spring is here, and with it comes baseball. Watching the Mets with my daughter inspires an admittedly somewhat non-geeky discussion of fatherhood and baseball, but I bring it back to sci-fi with some thoughts on the movie Frequency. The show also has comments from Paul of Cthulhu, thoughts on The Amityville Horror, and an Amityvilleparody skit by Coyote Radio Theatre.
Radio Active #5: WiFi Wackiness, Bug Comes Home, Unfinished Games, Wheel of Time, Ring/Ring 2 Soundtrack
Show #5 starts off with some Windows and Mac tales before settling down into its more traditional science fiction and fantasy fare. This time around I talk about The Greatest Games I Never Finished (Diablo II, A Fool's Errand, Legend of Zelda: Orcina of Time), the appeal of the Wheel of Time series, and offer some thoughts on The Ring/Ring 2 soundtrack, as well as getting permission to review music in the podcast.
Radio Active #4: Dreamcatcher, Finding Serenity, KODT #100 and a Geek Dad on the Xbox
Radio Active #4 reviews Stephen King's alien invasion novel Dreamcatcher and the movie adaptation, discusses the new essay collection Finding Serenity, about Joss Whedon's Firefly series, talks about Knights of the Dinner Table Magazine #100 and finally offers some thoughts on gaming when you're a geek dad.
Radio Active #3: Comic Book Geekdom, The Salsa Incident, Podcasts, Geezer Gamers
Radio Active #3 is finally available for download. I'd finished most of the production last week, and foolishly thought I'd be able to work on it over the weekend. Why I thought this--given that my daughter's birthday party was Saturday, and Easter was Sunday--I have no idea.
