Back to the Gym: 7/30/07

After a dismal week in which I only made it to the gym one day out of seven, I'm redoubling my efforts to do better this week. I'm shooting to get to the gym five days this week, partly to make up for last week, partly because vacation's coming up and I need to get in as much exercise as I can before gorging on beer and steak at GenCon, and partly because I bought my first pair of waist 36 jeans in 10 years ... and I'm hyper-motivated.

To keep that up, I'm blogging. Most of these posts will be short, to the point, and not featured on the home page, so check out the Blog if you really want to stay informed.

I kicked the week off with 30 minutes on the eliptical machine, walking to and from work (1/2 mile, about 15 minutes each way) and a slow, leisurely walk with the family around College Hill (leisurely because Jordan was intent collecting interesting sticks, flowers, and leaves ... yes, some days she's very much Sue's daughter).

I've put the audio book American Gods on the backburner for a while so I could get caught up on my podcasts at the gym. I listened to Geek Acres #94, Dice Make Bonk #28: Total Party Kill , and started Random Signal #61 - Can Voldemort Stop the Rock?, which I'll likely finish up on Tuesday.
