206 lbs: Upticking Redux

by Ken Newquist / February 28, 2007

I gained two pounds over last week, primarily because I only went to the gym once or twice last week, and drank way too much soda (mostly on Game Day and the kids not being around on said Game Day, so I could play video games until 4 a.m. after the guys left at midnight).

If only all the running around I do in Oblivion translated into real exercise...

Blog Topic:

(looks at belly, protrubing disturbingly...wonders if there's a way to recall this comment).

Look, all I wanna know is how you have two kids AND the stamina to play video games until 4 in the morning, soda or no! (grin)

Weeping for my lost, wayward childhood...and Duke Nuke'Em.

I had help. Sue was in Philly for the weekend visiting a friend, and the kids were at my in-laws house overnight, so I could afford to stay up until 4 a.m., sleep until 10-11 a.m., and then snag some coffee and go pick them up early that afternoon.

I'm surprised I wasn't more tired that weekend, but I suppose that's where exercise helps ... as does the fact that Luke has been consistently sleeping through the night. Except for last night, when he had me up at 1:30 for a diaper change and 3:30 for a bottle.

And Duke Nuke'em will rise again damn it ... just as soon as they finish working on it. Which should be any decade now...
