'Delta Green: Eyes Only' Paperback Release

Posted in by Kenneth Newquist on Wed, 10/01/2008 - 6:30am

The paperback version of Delta Green: Eyes Only has been released. Eyes Only features the content of the three hard-to-find (ok, at least I never found them) DG books Machinations of the Mi-Go, The Fate, and Project Rainbow. It's also got some scenarios for the game.

Delta Green remains one of my all-time favorite RPGs/campaign worlds. I ran a handful of scenarios for my gaming group, and while we've always talked of running more, we've never gotten around to it. I do, however, have extensive notes on a DG campaign involving two rival cells investigating horrors around the country until finally coming together for one uber mission ... but whether they'd meet as allies or enemies was something the PCs would need to decide... That said, I'm strongly tempted to get this just to be able to complete my Delta Green collection (though I promise not to read it if Erilar gets one of his own...)

Delta Green has always been a title to conjure with. I've wanted to read about the world for years! This is a good time to start.

Along the same lines: Charles Stross wrote a magnificent collection of modern day secret agent stories in the vein of HPL. The collection is called "On Her Majesty's Occult Service," and it is *wonderful*. Hip, detailed, lovingly respectful of the mythos, and very worthy.

Sounds cool. I just added it to my Amazon wish list. :) Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be paperback version out yet, but I'll have to keep an eye out for it.

And yeah, Delta Green's an incredible setting. "The Night Floors" scenario (I think that was in Countdown) ranks as one of my all-time favorite Call of Cthulhu scenarios (or hell, one of my all time favorite adventures for any system). You know you've got something awesome when the scenario ends with agents firing shots at each other through a wooden door, each sure that they are the ones who are in the right...
