Nuketown Beta Testers Needed

Posted in by Kenneth Newquist on Wed, 01/25/2006 - 2:00am

I'm looking for a few patient, curious readers (and listeners) to help me try out the beta site for the new Nuketown. The testing is pretty straight-forward -- I need folks to login (yes -- you can have actual accounts on the new site!), surf around the site, post some comments, fiddle with the forums.

There's not a huge amount of content there yet -- porting everything over will take time -- but there's enough there to be a representative sample. If you're interested in helping out, send an e-mail to knewquist@nuketown.com; once I get it I'll send you the url to the test site (I'm not posting it publicly because a) it's not ready for prime time and b) I don't want Google indexing a temporary site)

For those who are curious, the new version of Nuketown is based Drupal, an open source content management framework. So far I'm very pleased with its capabilities -- it's easy to manage, relatively easy to expand, and does everything I've always wanted to do with Nuketown but never had the time to code.
