Nuketown's Online Message Forum Launches

Posted in by Kenneth Newquist on Wed, 08/10/2005 - 2:00am

Nuketown's much-discussed, oft-delayed online message forum has officially launched. I'm really excited about this forum; over the years Nuketown's had a great informal community, with people e-mailing me about articles, reviews and such, but this will finally provide a place for folks to chat with one another.

You can check out the forum at www.nuketown.com/forum/

The forum more or less conforms to Nuketown's own structure: there are sections for general discussion, books & print, games, hoaxes and urban legends, movies, TV and DVD and music & audio. I also created a feedback forum, where you can drop us a note about the site, and redesign section, to talk about that upcoming project.

There's also a section for Nuketown Radio Active (our podcast) and I expect I'll be adding sections for libertarian science fiction and Mac RPG tools (two of the more popular features on the site). I may add others depending on reader interest; we'll see how it goes.

As a result of this forum finally going online, I'm going to be deleting Nuketown's old, seldom-used Yahoo Group. For now, the forum's look and feel is limited to the generic phpBB styles, but I plan on converting it over to the new design ... once we figure out what that design is.
