Illuminati is one of my gaming group's all-time favorite games, although we don't play it quite as much as we did after getting burned out on it at GenCon 2000. As a result, when I saw this quiz -- Which Illuminati Are You? -- I just had to try it.

Illuminati, for those who haven't experienced it, is a card game by Steve Jackson Games. In it, you play one of several different all-powerful Illuminati, each of which is vying for control of the planet by dominating various political and social groups.

It's a game of backstabbing and intrigue, in which players band together to take down one opponent on one turn, then turn on each other like hyenas (rabid, super-intelligent hyenas with laser beams shooting out of their eyes).

It's not a game for the faint of heart or the overly serious -- like Diplomacy -- it's a game that can end friendships forever.

That said, when inter-party conflict is at its worth within our D&D campaign, I've found it to be a good way of working out people's scheming/backstabbing impulses.
