Nuketown Archive Back Online

Posted in by Kenneth Newquist on Tue, 12/30/2003 - 2:00am

Nuketown's Archive is now up and running again after a long, long hiatus.

The archive is broken down by month, and includes eight years worth of content spanning 80 issues. Not to bad for a Webzine that was started on a lark back in 1996.

The only issue not included in the archive is #1. Somehow, I lost track of it in transition from one computer to another. I suppose what's more surprising is that every other issue of Nuketown is available online -- that there are not more holes after 8+ years of publication simply amazes me.

That said, explorers venturing into the depths of the archive should know that the older editions aren't necessarily entirely intact. The Web has changed a hell of a lot since 1996, with sites (and in some cases, entire industries) coming and going. Don't be surprised if many of the offsite links in the older editions don't work. I do my best to keep up the newer, database-driven sections of the site up to date (generally speaking everything since September 2001), but prior to that time is a crap shoot.

You can visit the archive at www.nuketown.com/archive.
