space.com: Mars Science Laboratory Proposals Floated

NASA's planning the successor to the two rovers presently on Mars. The new rover will have more equipment, more autonomy and a 1-year life span. Personally, it reminds me a little too much of the ill-fated Mars Polar Lander. Faster, better, cheaper works -- why not stick with that? Read the full story.
