211 lbs.: Exercise = Good

Posted in by Kenneth Newquist on Mon, 08/04/2008 - 7:05pm

This week’s weigh-in was 211 lbs., down two pounds from last week, three pounds since I started this two weeks ago. Three pounds in two weeks isn’t bad, but I also realize that this is the beginning, and it’s always easier to lose a few pounds at the start (or at least, it is for me).

Still, progress is progress. I was able to exercise four out of seven days. I was hoping to get some exercise over the weekend, but I was on full-time dad duty with Sue away at a jewelry workshop. I also cut back severely on Mountain Dew last week, except for a binge on Game Day (which is to be expected, but I’m going to try and limit myself to two cans next time around).

OOF 8/4: 30 minutes @ Gym/Elliptical

I had a SCIFI.com review to write over lunch, so no pool for me today. Instead I went to the gym for 30 minutes on the elliptical machine.

In my ears: Geek Acres #146, featuring Wall-E for PS2, Batman on the History Channel, and more. I also started listening to the two hour mega-episode of the Star Wars podcast Order 66 # 26 - Worst Show Ever featuring Rodney Thompson of Wizards of the Coast.
