Posted in by Kenneth Newquist on Tue, 11/30/2004 - 2:00am

I never played Space: 1889, but when I saw this brief on 20by20room.com, I had to check it out. Basically, these are "full-cast audio adventures" record to CD and set in a world in which man went into space in the 1800 using the sort of "fantastic science" seen in the works of Arthur Conan Doyle, H.G. Wells and Jules Verne. Looks pretty cool. Read the full story.

space.com: House Passes Private Spaceflight Bill

Posted in by Kenneth Newquist on Mon, 11/22/2004 - 2:00am

The bill -- which needs Senate approval -- would regulate suborbital flights. On the plus side, it would prevent the FAA with going nuts on pilot and passenger safety issues, while rightly protecting the non-involved public from having a spaceship crash into their house.
